You had Mr. Mathews? i had him in Jr. High (97-99)! he's the reason i switched from trumpet to tuba. i got tired of trumpet so i went up to him and told him that i didnt really like trumpet (of which i was 2nd to last chair) and asked what insturment we needed in band. we didnt have a tuba, only a bari sax. and we also were lacking french horn. going with the all mighty "bigger is better" ethics, i chose tuba! although i complain about the bulk of the insturment, i will never regret that choice. so was he teaching (AT) THS too or was Mr. Barios their yet? this is wierd, i've never talked to alumni. they usually get away ASAP.
