Klaus, there is no better source than an educated native speaker. Thank you for the German lesson, the pop history lesson and, most off all, for sharing your knowledge. By the way, "lustige Streiche" is often translated as "merry pranks" but I think that is bowlderized. I don't think ol' Till would be hanged at the end of the piece if the pranks were merry.
