I use a Miraphone 4 valve BBb which plays so out of tune that it is painful sometimes. F's are 4th, D's are third, C's in the staff are 1,3, etc. And that wonderful Miraphone Sousaphone sound. Gosh, I just want to rush out and buy one for myself ... not!
We are replacing them with some Yamaha's which are better in tune and have a better sound, but if I had a choice I would rather have a Conn. I played a couple of notes on one a few weeks ago and it was soooooo much easier to play compared to what I use now. The response of that Conn was instant.
