You can get Tanglewood information from http://www.bostonsymphony.org . The Application can ONLY be sent in online according to the site, and you have to prepare very specific excerpts to put on a tape. The National Repertory Orchestra can be reached at http://www.nationalrepertoryorchestra.com or by e-mail at nroaudition(AT)stargate.net . Be advised, however, that this is arguably the hardest festival to get into and typically only graduate students and young professionals make it in. One of my graduate colleagues was runner up last year. Of course, this isn't going to prevent me from trying, nor should it prevent you. Auditions for the NRO will be held in various cities from February 4th to March 14th. Also, those who are interested, the NRO will be performing Copland's "Appalachian Spring", Mussorgsky/Ravel's "Pictures", Respighi's "Pines of Rome", Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra", Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony, and The Ride.
