Actually, Rudy Meinl wasn't represented in any shape or form at the Midwest Convention (at least when I was there), but has come very highly recommended by colleagues. Alan Baer gave high praise to the new Boosey & Hawkes Walter Nirschl 4/4+ CC horn, which I hope to be testing in the next month or so. He said the horn cuts like a knife, while being suitable for auditions, and would likely have a very short and easy adaptability time.
The weather was pretty cloudy, but you really don't notice it when you're in a convention hall.
