i really wouldn't say any one brand is the best. each brand out there has made some real great horns, and some real clunkers. if you are looking for a professional level CC there are some brands that are more consistant than others; like hirshbrunner, meinel weston, mirafone (i don't particularly care for mirafone but a lot of people do), or yamaha (another brand i'm not fond of but some people swear by em). what i would recommend is to try as many horns as you possibly can. Also, try and bring someone along with you. the horn may sound great while playing it, but it may sound terrible 10 feet away (or vise versa).
whatever horn you choose, make sure you are happy with it and who cares what the brand name is.
