Are you the same individual who just recently had a nickel silver leadpipe put on their 2165? I spoke with Matt about the possibility of having that done on my mine. It sounded interesting. I am not sure if I want or need to have that done. The only customizing I would desire to have done is to some how reduce the weight of the beast by at least 10lbs. I'm 5'8" and I am dwarfed by the horn when I play it. The weight is the only thing that makes in hard to handle.
So you now want a PT6......interesting. I haven't played a PT6 for a couple years now. I remember finding it awkward to hold compared to the wrap of most piston tubas. I also found the horn to play rather stuffy with respect to being able to move large quantities of air at fast speeds. What is it about the PT6 that you like?? I am curious! :)
