I think the Cervany 601 is an excellent value for the money but to make them play really well you have to do some modifications, in my opinion. If you search the archives of this BBS you'll find numerous posts about a 601 that I am currently selling. All of the modifications are mentioned and they really make the difference with these horns. If you're looking for a very large tuba (BAT) but don't want to pay $10000+, you should seriously look at the 601.
