Or it may be in high pitch, in which case it will be sharp even with the tuning slide pulled all the way. If it is in high pitch you can have slide extensions made which would bring it into modern pitch. If it is in low pitch , you would have to have the tuning slide cut shorter. Either one is a relatively simple job for a good tech. I would say that it is worth the asking price as a collectable, and probably could be used as a player, even if it requires a little work.
