Yeah, I stayed up to 2 a.m. watching that program, and updated version of "From Mao to Mozart", where he revisits China 20 years after making the documentary for which, I believe, won an Oscar that year. It showed three soloists reuniting with an orchestra that were featured in the original film as very young, but highly developed players in a country where discipline in musical training is very important. Lots of good music-making talk as Mr. Stern holds master classes (he never called them that) and performs concerts all over China. A tape is available for $20 (didn't get the 800 #, darn), but I did read the book "My First 79 Years" in which he describes in detail his experiences of that trip. Very worthwhile.
