I was talking to one of my friends from Germany a few days ago, and we got on the subject of German economics. Living in the U.S., I haven't heard a lot about the european economy since the Euro system was implemented a while back. From what he told me, the Euro right now is very underated, and is very easy to be "taken advantage of". He used a particular Gronitz tuba as an example. The tuba is listed on the Gronitz site for 10.500DM or so. Roughly converted a few months ago, I came to a U.S. equivalent of about six thousand dollars for this horn. After giving me a detailed explanation(which I don't have the brain capacity to accurately relay here), he showed me how that same tuba could be purchased at about HALF that price sometime over the next year. Now, I'm rather ignorant on the subject of economics, and am no whiz at simple maths either, but is this actually a possibility? If so, has anyone experimented with it in the past? I'd be interested in hearing about it.
