At the moment, only way to try one of these instruments is to come to Los Angeles. For a brief time I've got a third
one at my house but it is going back to Japan shortly. Norm and I have ours, of course, and anyone is
welcome to try them if we are available. (I think that is cool with Norm)

It's interesting to see the threads of info about this instrument--some of it incorrect and certainly incomplete. But
it sure does create interest about this wonderful tuba. However, the projected cost of over $40,000 is way out of line.
I'm sure it will be expensive but that's a big stretch (no pun intended).

What should it be called?-- a Yamaha/York, a Yamayork, a Yorkaha, a Yamayork, Sumo Tuba, Tsunami Tuba, the
Tuba That Ate Los Angeles--or something else. I love it!!
