Size is loosely defined by the makers. A BAT is probably a 6/4, a pretty big tuba is a 5/4, a "normal" tuba is a 4/4, a slightly smaller than "normal" tuba might be a 7/8 and a relatively small tuba for the pitch is a 3/4. That's about as specific as it gets. Bore isn't truly related to size, though sometimes a bigger tuba may have a larger bore, but there's no magic rule.

Pitch does depend on the length.
