I dug out my TubaChristmas book this week and leafed through it. Looking at Jingle Bells, I noticed that at (about) bar 54, the Euphoniums play the trio melody from Nat'l Emblem March, which, coincedently, our wind ens. is play at an upcoming concert. 1) Has anyone else noticed this? 2) What is the (or is there an) association between Jingle Bells and this march?
Just some stuff to think about this holiday season . . .
