Sorry, I should have said he has used the rotary-valved Willson CC since February, 2000, of the last orchestra season. In my opinion, the horn has a slightly more compact sound than the piston-valved version, and it blends well with the trombones and other sections of the orchestra but can be made to project really well when necessary.
