In mouthpieces larger does not necessarily mean more volume of sound especially if you don't get a serious couple of hours of practice in every day. To project you need to have a lot of core fundamental, but also a full range of higher overtones that give the edge to the sound. I used the Bach 7 for a long time and played the PT-88 for about a year. They are good pieces but seem to lack the sizzle. I've found the Marcinkiweiz(sp) N series works well for me now. The 3N and 4N(Tommy Johnson model) are rather shallow cups with a narrow throat but very wide diameter cup size. They seem to cut through well. You have to be a bit careful, because the tone can get too crisp quickly with them. The low end really pops. They are simular to the Miraphon C3 according to the Marcinkiweiz web site.
