Chuck Daellenbach has played several Yamahas at various times. For the longest period, however, and up until the early 90's, he played what looks like a Yamaha YCB 621. Actually, it is a prototype for that instrument built by Renold Schilke, and gold plated.

Chuck was alternating between that horn and a home-modified York or some such when I attended his master class in 1990 or 91. He told me of their new instruments they were experimenting with that would be sold under their name. He was playing that same bit of home-spun instrument on the video of the CB that combines their talents with the Boston Symphony and New York Phil brass quintets. That video contains a breathtaking performance of the Vaughan Williams Tallis Fantasia, on triple brass quintet!
