I actually have a number of horns from that time period and considerably older, including a helicon (circa 1912) and a pair of sousaphones (circa 1900) that I've restored. For a while I entertained the idea of trying to sell some of them, but I've found that, while these horns may be "worth" a good deal of money, that doesn't mean you can convince someone to pay you that good deal of money. I think you have more a great unique piece of nostalgia and less a valuable antique. I can tell you from experience, however, that once once you put all that work into a horn, it becomes awefully hard to let go of it.

I would say have fun with the horn rather than worry about maintaining it's original value.
