I had the same problem when I first began on F. I eventually decided the problem had two origins. 1) I wasn't playing with an F tuba concept- I was just thinking little CC tuba 2) I didn't have the right mouthpiece. Now it really doesn't matter because I had to sell the F when I bought my house.
