I've seen the 'piccolo tuba' you're referring too. They show up on E-Bay from time-to-time. Right now someone has listed a full BBb sousaphone for smaller types, with an 18 inch bell and a center opening about 12" x 18". The reserve is $300, so it's not the most expensive thing you could try. If you do get it, though, let me suggest that you go to your local home-improvement shop and get some of the foam pipe insulators, and use it to protect the horn from dents.
