I just bought a 'S' model 186 5u CC tuba. i found that this horn played identical, if not better than the 'pro' model. i alternated between the two horns for quite some time while testing...around an hour or so. the horns sounded incredibly similar to each other. i did play the 's' 186 Bb version and thought it sounded great also...better than the St. Pete i toyed with.
