I know that this is not neccessarily being suggested, and that the point is that although Roger Bobo's tuba is a Yamaha, it incorporates HIS custom design requirements.

STILL, the "Bobo Custom Yamaha" would still not neccessarily be the right horn for YOU. Everyone's physicality, playing needs, playing style, etc., are as individual as fingerprints. Is the way Roger Bobo positions the mirrors, seat and steering wheel in his car neccessarily the way you should set your mirrors/seat/wheel ??

Yamaha horns are fine. If you find one you like, and it suits your playing needs, then it could be the right horn for YOU.

Just to get back "on topic": I own a YEB-321S (it certainly ain't in pristine condition) but it's **fine** for quite a bit of the playing I do (and playing the tuba is my profession), and the Yammy actually one of my favorites amongst my "collection".
