You need a good all around tuba. a 4/4 sized instrument would be best suited for your needs. Of course, I recommend a CC, 5-valve. Try the Mirafone 186-5U. I LOVE the 4/4 Hirsbrunners (I use an HB-2 in MY qunitet). I think the smaller bore piston horn would be a good quintet horn. I don't really know the PT's very well, but on the whole I don't like them (Flame throwers on 'Stand By' mode please). I LOVE the CB50 for quintet, but too small for orch. Tony Clements
