It sounds to me like you really haven't put much, if any, time in on a St. Pete. It really is a great horn. IMO its more of a "real tuba" than many (not all, of course) horns I've played costing twice as much (CC and BBb). VMIs are good too, but the best thing is definitely to play as many horns as you can before deciding. I did and I chose the St. Pete hands down. If your gonna trash a horn (especially anonymously), lets hear some reasons next time...
