I found a Rudy Muck tuba mp in a HS bandroom in Prairie du Chien, WI about 15 years ago. It must have weighed about as much as a modern day Deck style (lots of metal) If I remember correctly it was a smallcup with rounded rim but lots of carrying power(i.e. ball peen hammer) The exterior was almost spherical with a shank sticking out of it. I wonder if some kid had it plugged into his/her sousaphone this football season. I've never seen another, and, judging from the sound it produced,that may be a good thing.
