is the MW-37 CC tuba an all around tuba?

I just bought the " TRAVELIN IT TOGETHER" CD. Sam Pilafian sounds great with his MW-37,but I was wondering if the MW-37 CC 4/4 tuba ( 687 bore size) is big enough to be an orchestral tuba? Thanks...
