The definition of terms is a prerequisite for any successful dialogue.Too often we se specialists fighting over details as insignificant as commas and colons,and we are disenchanted by haggling over details when action is needed.
Many Americans could certainly describe there experiences in school;they define the terms as they see necessary,formulate their arguments accordingly and are then chastised for editorializing by teachers ill-prepared to deal with anything outside the textbook definition.
I do not mind reading longer posts when they need no clarification.Accuracy before brevity,concise rather than successive iterations of a single point when all that changes is the wording.
And please don't write like me,what I do wouldn't survive the scrutiny of any nglish professor worth zur salt.
