Communication is defined by what information actually passes, not by what you think should be acceptable using your (to me) indecipherable shorthand.

Also, it is possible to be a mediocre tuba player on instruments of many pitches, while someone who devoted himself to mastering one instrument becomes a far better player much sooner. Once you have mastered one instrument, learning the others is not difficult for anyone with enough talent to be really good. But there is much about tuba playing that has nothing to do with pitch, and you might be spending so much time learning new fingering systems that you miss out on those other aspects. Most current pros didn't learn new fingering systems until it was already obvious that they were pro quality musicians.
