But, it's all moot if you're looking for something different in a mouthpiece. Personally, after nearly 30 years of playing professionally, I try to heed the advice of Sam Pilafian..."play the smallest mouthpiece you can stand!" From my own experience, I can tell you that it's much harder to go smaller in a mouthpiece than bigger. Don't play something so big now, that after a few years of experience (and wisdom that comes from age)you find is actually too big, and you suffer trying to keep your low register while adapting to a smaller mouthpiece.
