Dear Student,
I wrote a good piece about this the other day and have the link attached.
I would like to expaline why the fingerings are so sharp with the 4th valve down. It's like a bace trombone; You have changed the pitch of the horn into an f tuba and so none of the valve slides are long enou8gh to conpensate unless of coarse your playing a bessen automatic compensating tuba! The lowest note you should be able toplay in tune is Eb if you use 1234. I also take to task anyone who uses 23 for B# as this isnt the way We do it three octives above. I know it will work, but it's just a false tone and so will crasking anyvalve half way - you know? anyway, once you get to the BBb below the tunning note you will start to naturalize your embouchure.
Check out the link.
helpfully (I hope),
