Hello all,
I'd like to take this opportunity to announce vacancies for the graduate assistantships for tuba AND /OR euphonium at Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal, IL for the academic year 2004-2005. If you are an undergraduate tubist or euphoniumist planning on graduating this year and looking to do a Master's Degree, please continue reading. The ISU graduate assistantship is for students looking to expand their leadership responsibilities. Students will receive tuition-waivers (in-state or out-of-state) and they will be suppied the additional annual stipend of $2700-$5400.
Duties include:
10 hrs per week of:
-Graduate Brass Quintet (tuba)
-Graduate Tuba/Euphonium Quartet (tuba and/or euphonium)
-Teach low brass music minors
-Assist with conducting, organizing, and composing/arranging for "NETS" (Normal Euphonium Tuba Society)
. . . and/or an additional 10 hours per week of:
-other duties commensurate with applicant's abilities (stage-hand, program production, administrative work, etc.)
