Am I the only one who has trouble counting the rests in the first movement in the 9/8 section?
I am sitting here with the part and a recording and I feel like if people could see me they would see big question marks over my head as I scratched and wrinkled my brow. It just doesn't seem to jive with what I am hearing and what is on the page.
Are there any secrets to figuring this stuff out?
I know I should look at a score, but one isn't handy. Help!
