1. Anything recorded by The Washington Winds, especially their 3 c.d.'s of The Golden Age of Marches.
2. The Eagles.
3. Big Band Swing/Jazz, especially Count Basie and any arrangements by Sammy Nestico.
4. Harmonica music, particularly Toots Thielemans.
5. Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" album still fascinates me.
6. Any of The David Grisman Quartet recordings (an eclectic mix of styles and string instruments including 2 mandolins, guitar, violin, bass.)
7. Billy Joel's compositions for solo piano.
8. The sound track from the movie "Sweet and Low Down."
9. Good bluegrass, including Allison Krauss and her band.
10. The Manhattan Transfer "Vocalise" album.
11. Some of Chet Atkins early guitar work.
12. A lot of Les Paul's recordings.
13. Carlos Montoya
