You could do much worse. I just purchased one used for myself. It is a freakishly good instrument. I suspect it would work very well in the situations you describe. It is a little on the small side of 4/4 but puts out a very big sound and plays great. It will likely seem huge compared to the the YEB321. Of course I'm biased but I think it's one of the best horns out there.

That said.. It has been my experience that if you are patient you can often find very good deals on good horns in the used market. You might want to hook up with a local pro in your area and get his/her advice and see if he knows of any good deals. Why spend more than you have to? The B&S PT(or non PT) line is always a good safe bet.. but also check out horns my Meinl Weston, Rudy Meinl, Hirsbrunner, and Alexander.
