The 3J has a bigger bell. I used to have one and I regret selling it. I think it is on ebay right now. Good quintet horn. The best thing about the 3J (and presumably about the 2J, too) was how easy it is to reach all the slides. People who like the Holton Harvey Phillips would like the 3J.
