When I was teaching in the D/FW area there was even a private teaching guild. It held scholarship contests for the students of members.
I made a lot when I carried 50 or more students; but with lower enrollment numbers, no-shows started to take their toll. With 50, no-shows could be absorbed to a certain degree.
