Actually, you are lucky. Our local orchestra (metropolitan area of about 400,000, seven concert sets) is doing ALL NINE BEETHOVEN SYMPHONIES. Speculation is that they are trying to drive away either 1)the tubist (it isn't me)or 2)the audience. Your program makes much more sense. Two entire concert sets here will consist ONLY of Beethoven.
