Absolutely. I played baseball my whole life; it's not an easy sport. One of my coaches once said, "Look what the football players do to get ready for the season. They lift weights and run sprints." That's far less than half the battle in baseball.

Why does even the esoteric stuff have to be an issue of intelligence? We're so quick to jump to the conclusion that it's over the heads of the common man. Has anyone considered the possibilty that some people just don't like it? I'm not a big fan of Mahler or Bruckner (or John Williams), but that doesn't automatically make me dumb. I love "esoteric" (let's just admit we're talking about TWENTIETH CENTURY music, ok guys?) music, but that doesn't make me Einstein.
