Recently, I have been looking for a great recording of the 1812 Overture that includes choir as well as cannons, bells, etc...
Now, I now there is a recording out there with choir where the choir doesn't sing in the ending climax with the brass, but I am looking for a recording that has the choir singing at that point. I feel that the 1812 is really one of the most powerful pieces that I have ever heard live, when all of the elements are there. Without the choir, the overture just isn't complete. It falls flat. So, does anyone know of a recording where the choir sings in the beginning and the end, with the orchestra?
