"Perfect pitch" is a misnomer.

There are people with a good sense of absolute pitch, in that they can hear a pitch without reference and tell you what it is. If they attempt to do this with high precision, they'll drive themselves crazy.

There is no such thing as perfect pitch. There are so many systems of tuning that are each different from the other that if a person could only tolerate one of them they'd go mad. Each system of pitch is a decision made by tradition or otherwise at some point in the history of music. And those systems are utterly different in other parts of the world.
