I knew that Americans could be enthnocentric, but yours is one of the most insulting, narrow minded posts I have seen in a long time! So Europe has an original culture and American doesn't? Do you really believe that Denmark has contributed so much more to culture than the US?

Yes, some of our institutions have evolved from European, African, or Asian roots, but there are many aspects of American culture that are uniquely American. Take Jazz for example. Jazz may have been originated by African Americans, but it wasn't brought from Africa, it originated here. What about Rock & Roll (a term that comes from a Bill Haley and the Comets song), Rap, Country & Western, how about the Hudson River School of art, Frank Lloyd Wright, Pop art? Is it all derivative? Everything starts somewhere, but there is so much that wouldn't exist without the unique environment that is the United States.

Native American culture, which actually is becoming more and more appreciated, is not the only thing that ever originated on this continent. Shame on you for making such an obviously biased staement as if it were fact.

And yes, American sousaphones are better than any of the European or Asian versions.
