I heard the NPR broadcast and thought it very interesting. They failed to mention, as others have further down this thread, that it can cause damage to iron based objects. My instrument repair guy said that when he considered the purchase of one, he decided not to. He has a small shop and cannot set aside the space necessary to isolate the dent remover's use from his regular repair shop activities. He also said that it can harm people who have pace makers and also mess up watches, etc. It's kind of like the way MRI machines in hospitals need to be isolated.

My take, for what it's worth.
