The Charlie Parker Omnibook is generally considered to be THE essential transcription book. This book and others are available from the Aebersold Jazz Catalog (www.jazzbooks.com). Don't be afraid to do your own as well; it can be hard finding stuff that works for tuba. I've found that tenor sax solos actually work better than trumpet or alto solos because they usually only have to be brought down one octave in order to fall in a comfortable range. Just off the top of my head, Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Dexter Gordon, and Oliver Nelson would be some good players to start with. Also, e-mail me privately and I may be able to send you some that I've done.
