Thanks, however I drove up to CA today and bought it.
Several hundred less $$ than that Mirafone at Daves.
This isn't a pretty horn, but it sounds and plays well. It's actually got a sweet sound, I could make a sweet sound through it after being away for all this time. That was amazing!
The nickel plated & lapped valves and the new 'works' make it a good deal, that kind of work isn't cheap. The horn has the basic shape it needs, it's got a very aged look to it.
I got it home about an hour ago, blew a few notes through it to show my wife that it works and she remarked that it sounds good too.
Now, to get some instructional materials together and start myself & the kid out right.
