Euphoniums are built in Bb but they play bass clef music in concert pitch, so they could easily play the trombone part. And the bass trombone would be very appropriate. The exception would be if the student plays the Euphonium reading Baritone Treble Clef parts in his band then he would be playing treble clef music transposed in Bb like a Tenor Sax. (a major 9th higher than concert pitch)
