The King 26 works pretty well on a 1250/1251/2350 King sousaphone and on a King 1240/1241/2340/2341 tuba. It is a more cup shaped mouthpiece than the Conn 2 or the Hellebergs of various lineages. This mouthpiece, and the Conn 2, were what Bill Bell was referring to in his Foundations when he said one should start with the mouthpiece supplied by the manufacturer, because they were good mouthpieces well-fitted to the horns they came with.
