Most can play everything on CC, and probably should be able to, but you need to consider which is the sound that is most appropriate for a given situation. I hear that Harvey Phillips played everything on a CC, and quite well. I would argue, though, that you are limiting your range of timbres and your versatility as a player by playing everything on a single horn.
