The old Conn 14K has a "bigger" sound than the King and excellent (better than some expensive tubas) intonation, along with convincing low range "false" tones.

The (now back into production) extra-large Conn 20K has a very big sound. Just like the 20J Conn tuba, the 20K sousaphone has a problem with a flat F (bottom-of-the-staff).

Assuming no heavy buffing (overhauls) your King probably weighs about the same as a 14K.

My favorite sousa is the 14K Conn (no longer in production).
