Hmmm. 1971? Why do you guys all seem to need four wheels? In 1971 I bought a brand new Kawasaki 3 cylinder 500 CC screamer. That thing would go 0 to 60 in four (4) seconds. Ha! I was, at 100 lbs, about the fastest thing on the road. Of course, at about 90 mph it got this kind of amazing speed wobble (they weren't as good at frames as they are now, and the wheels still had spokes.) but...I could just blow any 240Z off the road, heh. Not that the Z's weren't neat, because they were. The Kaw was a lot cheaper, and much easier to scare myself with.
Now, it's an old Toyota pickup truck and what is starting to be a truck bed full of tubas.
Ah, youth.
