I was wondering the same thing myself.
I personally own a PT-6P, and absolutely love it. I will never sell this horn.
I am not a professional, so realize that my oppinion isn't worth much, but I feel that the MW 2145 is a bit stuffy. I've not played many Miraphones, so I can't help you there. I have played (again, realize that I do not have the knowledge of what to listen for in a tuba) some different models of B&S tubas. All of the B&S CC tubas I have played, I thought, were wonderful horns. I particularly enjoyed the PT-20P, and the PT-22P (Eb though). And of course, I enjoy playing my PT-6P too. The PT-7P was equally as pleasant. (I understand the PT-4 is no longer in production. Is this true? It was a nice horn too, but I like the 20 better)
Personally, my favorite two were the PT-6P and the PT-20P. You ought to check those out, even if its just for fun, because they are fun horns to play.
Just the oppinion of an amature though...
